After Berlin Phoenix first won the EURC in winter, they were able to defend their title in the regular season with Rocket League guide. With the University Rocketeers Summer Series (Summer EM) they won their third title this year.
Difficult quarter-finals, sovereign final
In the group stage they won all matches and ended up in first place in the table. The first difficulties then occurred in the playoffs. In the quarter-finals against the Portsmouth Paladins they stumbled briefly, but won with a narrow 4: 3. In the semifinals they met the Keele Krakens and went straight to the Upper Bracket Final with a relaxed 4-0.
Since the DG Dragons lost in the semifinals to Erasmus eSports Rotterdam, the Berliners had to play against the Dutch. Phoenix reached the final with a 4-1 win and met Rotterdam again. They didn't give them a chance and Berlin Phoenix won the University Rocketeers ’Summer Series 2021 with a 4-0!
